Hello and welcome to Malfy Candles!

About us 
We're Luke and Layah. We live in a small village in the south of Derbyshire.
We started Malfy Candles in 2021. Initially, we just wanted to make them for our own use as we were fed up of buying candles that had no scent, with wicks too small to even burn the whole candle! If we were desperate to find a nice candle (without spending £50 on a tiny one!) then we knew others would be too.

Where did Malfy Candles come from?
A lot of people ask "why are you called Malfy Candles?" and you might be thinking the same thing because it is a little different (and it's not down to Layah's love for the alcoholic beverage) but because our first holiday should have been travelling around the Amalfi coast which sadly, COVID ruined for us so it's our little twist on the adventure we had planned but turned into a new one instead! 

Why we started our small business
We knew we wanted to make a range that gave a luxury look and smell but also that was sustainable, which is why Malfy Candles are 100% natural soy wax, made in recyclable glass containers and our wax melts are in a recycled (and recyclable) non-toxic plastic. 
Every single candle/wax melt is hand-poured by the two of us along with sticking the wicks, sticking the labels and packaging them - so you may find some variances in each candle, but all our candles have been tested to ensure the wax burns evenly and safely for the best experience.
